As a Virginia College student, you’ll be prepared for entry-level positions in the medical field related to reimbursement procedures. You’ll learn the fundamentals of medical office protocol and get specialized training in Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), International Classification of Diseases (ICD), and Health Care Financing Administration Common Procedural Coding System (HCPCS). Virginia College’s Salon Management program offers the student an opportunity to earn an associate degree in the cosmetology area by completing additional requirements in management and general education. The area of concentration includes courses that must be completed in order for the student to sit for the State Board of Cosmetology licensing examination. This program is designed to prepare students to successfully own, operate, and/or manage a beauty salon.
